In the past, when I went to the gym, I only went to cardio group fitness classes - they're fun, and I know what I'm doing. I would avoid the strength classes and the free weights/machines area because there were a lot more intimidating. Everyone already seems to know what to do, whereas I didn't know how to use the machines or how heavy I should be lifting or whether my form was correct or not or what lifting routines I should be doing. However, I knew I needed to start incorporating more strength training into my workouts to keep progressing my health and fitness goals. Sam's Small Group Training was a great way to build up my confidence and interest in strength training - Sam led our SGT in Tabata-style workouts, with stations set up on the machines as well as using free weights and other equipment. She coached us on how to do the exercises in the proper form, tips on when to increase in weights, and gave us routines that we could follow on our own. Sam is super nice and encouraging, and I really enjoyed her training sessions! I'm definitely still not an expert in weight lifting or anything, but Sam gave me a boost in the right direction to reach my goals!

I worked with Sam twice weekly over a ~3 month period in 2018. My key goal was to build strength whilst overcoming my fear of the gym. I was very intimidated by gym settings, didn't know how to use the equipment, and was worried about injuring myself or triggering my exercise-induced asthma. Sam navigated all of this professionally whilst also making our sessions enjoyable. Over those 3 months my muscle mass increased significantly, and Sam taught me how to design workouts that met my strength building goals at an achievable, safe pace. I wanted a trainer who was friendly and supportive (I don't respond well to the "no pain, no gain" style of workouts). Sam completely met me on that level and used positive reinforcement to help me push my own limits at my own pace. Signing up with Sam was one of the best investment's I've made in myself and my health, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to others.

After 40 years of running and 30 years of triathlons, I thought I knew how to train myself. I trained with Samantha 2 times per week, and quickly found that she knew how to combine strength, balance and flexibility training that greatly improved my running, swimming and cycling. She closely monitored any aches or pains and designed exercises for so that we worked through any issues rather than making it worse. For example, at one point I had some lower back pain, and she helped me understand the muscle groups that were tight and causing this, and she had me do exercises and stretching that resolved the issue. Samantha is professional, personable and fun - she is a pleasure to have as a trainer!

Samantha is an excellent trainer, maintaining the right balance (pushing me hard, but not too hard. She is really knowledgeable about muscle structure and helped relieve some ongoing pain in my knees through stretching. Long story short - I would highly recommend Samantha if you are looking for a personal trainer!

Sam is one of the best personal trainers I have ever worked with. She is very knowledgeable and makes the workouts fun. She mixes up exercises so well that even though they are tough I saw good results without feeling I had done too much. I never lost my motivation to workout like I had with other trainers or by myself. It was only after I started training with Sam that friends and family started to comment on how much healthier I was looking.

Samantha was an excellent trainer for me. She was very attentive to what I wanted to pursue and yet also respectful of what I could achieve. She trained me after major surgery and was super careful to make sure we exercised aligned with my doctors recommendations. I enjoyed the variety of the training sessions ( I get bored easily) and we made real progress . She if fun to work with, always cheery and very motivational.

I’ve been a member of a popular fitness club since 2003 and had rarely used the membership since relocating to Houston in 2005. In late November of 2016, I hit my limit, weighing in at almost 260 pounds, developing sleep apnea and being diagnosed by my doctor as pre-hypertensive. This is when I met Samantha. I chose her because she had a background in engineering thinking that she would approach my fitness challenges from that perspective. She did that and much, much more. I worked with Samantha through April of 2017. We met 2-3 times per week for training sessions and she tailored a program that got me moving faster, stronger and more flexible. When I stopped getting training sessions, I had lost over fifty pounds and today I’m down over eighty pounds and weigh less than I did in high school. Samantha will go the extra mile to help you. She gives great advice on nutrition, healthy habits when not in the gym and will check up on you when you might hit a plateau or start to slip a bit. She also walks the walk by keeping fit herself and most importantly, she has a passion for what she does and for helping people achieve their goals. If you want to develop healthy habits and get in shape, I can’t think of a better person to help you with that then Samantha.

Samantha is very professional. She tailors my work outs for my needs and wants. Her encouragement gives me the confidence I need, and she guides me towards my goals. One of my favorite things about her is that she’s always educating and explaining everything we do, and changes up the work outs so I never plateau. You will never get bored with your work outs.. I highly recommend her. You won’t be disappointed.
